Our client, a publicly traded consumer products company with a portfolio of leading national brands, is hiring an Accounting Manager for its General Ledger team. The role is newly created because of the company's growth. The company is posting record revenue and double-digit growth, and it has expanded its portfolio through recent acquisitions.

What you'll do

• Lead parts of the month-end close, including journal entry review and approval and account reconciliations.
• Review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate with external auditors to complete the annual audit on time.
• Keep SOX controls compliant, working with internal and external auditors on testing and fixing any issues.
• Support financial system migrations and integrations.
• Find ways to make processes more efficient and cut costs across the business.
• Lead special projects and financial analysis that support the company's growth.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a SOX environment.
• Experience at a public company, or Big 4 or large regional firm experience serving public or large corporate clients.
• CPA (strongly preferred).
• Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Great Plains.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
• An ownership mindset, a team-first attitude, and eagerness to learn.
